What a country costs

Every country has one president: whoever has paid the most for it. To take a country, you pay $1 more than its current president paid. A country nobody has bought yet costs $1, the floor price.

Because the price follows the last amount paid, it only ever goes up, and only when somebody actually buys. Nothing decays, nothing expires, and there are no timers.

You can pay more

The price above is the minimum. The buy form lets you pay any amount above it. Paying more places you higher in the table and makes you more expensive to outbid, since the next buyer has to beat whatever you paid.

The number you see is the number you pay

Every buy button shows the live price for that country, read from the current standings when the page loads. The amount is calculated again on our server the moment you check out, so it is never taken from your browser. If someone outbids you between opening the page and paying, checkout uses the new, higher figure.

Currency and taxes

All prices are in USD. Any sales tax or VAT is added at checkout by our payment provider based on your location, and is shown before you pay.

What you get

A one-time placement: your chosen display name and your link shown next to that country on the public leaderboard, along with the title, description and icon read from the site you linked. Your outbound link is click-counted. The placement lasts until someone pays more than you did.
